Indeed there are! In fact we have seen very many 'reviews' purportedly by customers of many companies where there is a five star review, but in reality the review is worthless! So why is it worthless? Simple, the company either paid to have the review posted and with five stars, or indeed we have even seen companies make five star reviews of their own equipment and services. Visiting a website like Truthful review will help you (if we have a review of what you're looking for) to get a far better idea of what you are considering buying. And we don't sell anything so you can be sure that our reviews are as honest as we can make them.

Sadly the viewer generally cannot easily tell if those five star reviews are genuine or not! Let the buyer beware.
Indeed, fraudulent reviews that are paid for as we showed on this website are basically illegal. But its a matter of being able to prove that they are fraudulent - and then there is likely legislation to get a refund.
Anyone could simply answer that with a yes! However, remember that we do NOT gain from our reviews financially, and the objective is only to offer a better insight in to what someone might be buying. Our opinion is that an informed choice is the best choice, but using those 5 star reviews that are mixed in with some real reviews should be stopped. The real question is - would YOU buy from a company that uses those methods of creating reviews that are basically not real reviews? Our advice? Don't buy the product.
